Artist's Statement:
Character animation is the perfect marriage between the emotional study of theatrical art, and the meditative practice of visual art. I tell stories which explicitly personify emotional sensations. It may ultimately be a search for empathy in a world that so often overwhelms my synesthetic heart. If I can help another person feel understood through these stories, then I will have succeeded to the highest potential.
MLE. is a character artist based in Mohkinstis, Treaty 7 Territory (Calgary), Alberta, Canada. They have practiced art since they could hold a pencil, and have been instructing animation and illustration for six years with the Quickdraw Animation Society, and three years with the Alberta University of the Arts. They will keep making art until they can no longer hold a pencil.
